WHAT IS NATA
National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) measures the aptitude of the students for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture. The NATA test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity along with visual and critical thinking ability.
NATA 2017 EXAM SCHEDULE
NATA test shall be conducted on the 16th of April 2017 – Sunday
Timing – 11.00 am to 2.00 pm
How to Apply
- NATA 2017 registration form can be filled and submitted ONLINE from the NATA website by payment of NATA fees of Rs. 1250.00
Important Changes in NATA 2017
Please note that the following changes are effective for NATA 2017
- NATA 2017 will be a one day paper based (offline) examination which will be conducted all over the country only on the 16th of April 2017.
- Only 10+2 or 10+3 (diploma) equivalent passed/ appearing with Maths as one of the subjects can apply for NATA 2017
- Application forms will be available from 24.12.2016 till 29.01.2017
Mathematical Aptitude – 30 questions x 2 marks = 60 marks
Aesthetic Sensitivity – 30 questions x 2 marks = 60 marks
Drawings – 2 questions x 40 marks = 80 marks
Total – 200 marks
Time Duration – 3 hours
Algebra, Logarithms, Complex Numbers, Quadratic Equations, Matrices,Basically 11th and 12th standard Mathematics
Analytical reasoning, Mental Ability, Visual, Numerical and Verbal Ability, Visualisation of 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional objects, Architectural Awareness with respect to texture of building materials, architects and the built environment
Visualisation and conceptualisation of 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional objects through compositions, theme sketches of day to day activities along with landscape and urbanscape, principles of design.
